...let's talk about you!
CLOSED DUE TO SPAM... After all of my preening and prancing, finally its your turn to play. The web as a means of dialog - rather than just monologue - intrigues me (no, chat does not count). If the Internet is a global community, why then let's commune a little, darn it! Here's where we separate the exhibitionists from the voyeurs - tell me about yourself. Think of it as sophisticated graffiti. Use whatever words or glyphs you like to describe yourself, succinctly. Only one rule: talk about you. (Though luminous praise of my wit or website will be accepted, it is certainly not obligatory.) Feel free to include your email and/or website address, or just spout anonymously. And again, try to keep it fairly clean and brief. If you tend toward loquacity, build a website. I did!
CommentsOkay, here I go: I'm an amazingly attractive woman in my mid-twenties who wants nothing more than to administer slavish attention to your whole mind, body and spirit. You are the one I've been waiting for all of my life. The wait is over! E-mail me at knockout@aol.com.
CommentsNice site. REally quite cooooool.
CommentsWhy haven't I heard about you before! You are just, quite simply, IT.
CommentsHey, didn't I see you on David Letterman?
CommentsHoney, I mean it this time. Turn off the computer and GO TO BED!
CommentsLet's see if this thing actually works...it didn't the last time I tried it. If it does...good job, old friend.
CommentsOutstanding! You have the touch!
CommentsGuten Abend, Herr Cunningham! Was sind Sie von Beruf? Du ist einen "Webmeister"! Serr Gut, Herr Cunningham! Wo ist die Schloss Neuschwanstein? Auf Wiedersehen unt Gruss Gott!
Comments"Good friend's site, fascinating concepts..." Why, thank you! "Why I have hope for the Future of Humanity" -- oh, boy, Humanity is in trouble now! ;-) Well, if more Humans were like my niece, it would be a far, far better world..."Ephemerae" and "Objects appear closer than they are" are two parts of the same site -- created by a Wiccan, no less. Haunting on more than one level...and no, that wasn't a pun. She says the Deity is too big for any one religion. (Why don't such people then realize that if this be so, then we are all equally ignorant, instead of all equally right? Something in human nature, I guess...) This is about as close as I ever get to stream-of-consciousness (I only just learned that idea came from Freudian psychotherapy), so I'll sign off while I'm still awake (or while you still are). -- Best wishes, "Johanan Rakkav"

CommentsLooking for a running mate. You interested?
CommentsNever mind.
CommentsYou're a friend of John's, right? Think he'd go for vice-president? Mind asking him for me?
CommentsI think you should be the next president. You are smart, talented and very handsome. Maybe we can meet sometime.
CommentsThe journey has a wonderful layout! Looked like a great trip! And who's that BLOND? Anyway good job bro......
CommentsSometimes I think you sit up at night and write some of these guestbook entries to amuse yourself...either that, or you have some really weird friends (some of whom you've apparently yet to meet).
CommentsThanks for sending this to us. It brought back wonderful moments of our trip, too. The time we spent driving the Boxster and the four days in London were great. Now we're home and I'm back at work on yet another book. I know I'll be coming to Tucson in July, but information about arrivals, etc. are on a need-to-know basis only, and obviously I don't need to know so far. Please check with Clues Unlimited in Broadway Village to know when I'm supposed to show up. See you then. JAJ
CommentsHi David, We enjoyed browsing and especially seeing ourselves!! We're also still loving looking back over the trip. What a great time. People ask what was the best and I can't come up with just one part, it was all fantastic. Hope to get to see you and Mona soon. We appreciated her sending us some pictures. Have a great summer. Tom and Marilyn
CommentsJust signing your guestbook. Impressive home page! We're at about the swapping soup recipes speed. Hope we can figure out where you hid your Majestic Passage pictures.
CommentsHi Dave, Great set of pictures - I really enjoyed the people in particular - you did a much better job than I documenting our travel mates. We'll have to see if we have something to add to your collection. Had a very pleasant evening in Portland with Ken and Susan Coe a couple of weeks ago. We hope to catch up with the Sitzmanns and have heard from Jerry Davis and from The Sodorffs. Jerry was trying to reach you and I sent him your e-mail - hopefully you've connected. Drop by if you're up north - we would enjoy seeing you again. Tom Crozier
CommentsDear David--What a wonderful way to spend a part of a Saturday night--for one my age anyway--reviewing your pictures and reliving our very unique and special experience. It's hard to realize that it's been two months since it all happened. It took us a month to come back to the real world. It's been family time--five birthdays in May, one graduation in June. I stayed with Marcia's boys while she and Tom took a mini-vacation to Reno as a 26th wedding anniversity present. We tearfully saw our oldest grand-daughter off to California to take her first "grown-up" job as a human resource person (Didn't they used to call that personnel?) We have a busy summer and will write to Mona sometime soon. You both gave us so much pleasure in person and by way of your very enjoyable web pages. With much affection Claire
CommentsHi, David and Mona. Did we really go on that great vacation? Seems like it was a long time ago. I truly enjoyed getting to know you and Mona. You both are interesting and delightful folks! A standing invitation goes out to you both -- come to North Idaho and we'll show you our part of the world. Thanks for the memories! Have a great summer! Marcia Vanderford
CommentsI had almost forgotten about a card I got once from one of my visitors. But a couple of days ago I found it and now I'm here finding my own picture on the internet. Surprise! But a very nice one. I want to thank you for the visit here in your website and I wish you all the best!
CommentsDave, you REALLY need to get with that Sheena chick.
CommentsDavey! This website is most impressive! The pictures are amaizing. I was particularly impressed with the ones from Amsterdam. By the way, your hairline seems to be holding up well for a 40 year old (Hee, Hee). Eddie
CommentsI am a complete novice at this with a brand new I-opener so called computer. Your Mom gave mee your address for Mejestic Passage and I not only found it but enjoyed so much. Ifeel like I have met J>D> Hance. She is one of my favorats. Have you read any of her books set in Washington State? Thanks again for the great trip.

CommentsYou have really put together a wonderful website. Lynda taught me how to get into it today. She too was really impressed with your creativeity. She wants to forward it to Michael who has now opened his own company, called Broad Band Labs. I paticularly enjoyed viewing the pictures of your European cruise even though Mona shared some of them with me. I am just amazed at the clarity when shown full size on the screen. Keep up the good work. Dot Maxson
CommentsDorothy and I really enjoyed your presentation on the Majestic Passage. It waqs a graeat trip and one we shall not forget quickly. We have heard fromthe Sodorfs a couple of times. In fact Claire supplied us with your website. We have chartered a 42' Grand Banks to cruise the Canadian Gulf islands in September. Best to you and Mona
CommentsAwesome web site! You're very talented; and I'm not prejudiced in that comment. Glad to have the opportunity to read some of your writing.
CommentsDavid, Owen and I really enjoyed your web site..the pictures are super-great! I am new at this and everything I learn is a treat. My address is 305 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, FL 33756 if ever you want to use the U.S. mail. I need yours or mona's to send a neat pic of her on the music chair! No more great trips this year but maybe in 01..how about you? This sounds like an e-mail instead of a Bio, but anyway, great to be in touch. Peggy
CommentsGreat webb page and enjoyed the pictures re the AHI trip.
CommentsThanks for the pictures. My great uncle, John Dubose, e-mailed me your website address so that I could share in the pictures of his trip. I live in Tucson and Uncle John lives in Tallahassee. Uncle John and I have never met but keep in touch by e-mail. Patti
CommentsHi David! Rough summer with two surgeries in three weeks in May, so just getting around to visiting your website-- IT'S GREAT!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful Rhine pix with all of us! Hope you and Mom are well, as Bill and I are (finally!). Just went on a Caribbean cruise with Beth and John-- FUN! Let us hear from you!

CommentsWriting in my usual state of insomnia...I never cease to be amazed at the beauty, creativity and simple cleverness of this site. (I notice that both of our Web sites -- at least the parts devoted to creative writing -- have backgrounds evoking the magnificent desolation that is our Universe beyond Earth. And speaking of Planet Earth: Your photo gallery of the trip to Europe is a joy to behold.) If what this Web site expresses about you doesn't snare you some fair maiden who shares your heart and soul, I don't know what will. I've gotten some amazing attention myself since my own Web sites went up. -- Best wishes always, The Father of Chris Alan Whitestar
CommentsHey, you said that "chad" gimmick was going to work!
CommentsOnce again, thanks for the "tip" on using Mr. Chad Gemick for early election reports. You were right in saying "you can count on this guy!" I thank you, and our nation thanks you.
CommentsI loved it, Mr. Cunningham! I'll be back. The celestial feeling is fun. Learning about my new buddy is that much better! So. . .have you met Sheena?

CommentsCool Website! I'm supposed to be learning, but this was pretty interesting. Thanks!
CommentsHi Cousin! I found out about you through your Aunt Thelma. We are distantly related, but have a lot in common. I love languages (mostly Spanish, German, French, Italian, and of course English); I'm writing a book; and I am an actress (in community plays so far only). I live in Austin, Texas. Where do you live? (It's probably on your website, but I'm in a hurry as usual.)
CommentsVery cool Thanksgiving pictures bro.
CommentsLoved reading those messages again from our Rhine Tour..loved those pics.. Good to see you and Mona again in the Thanksgiving pics 2000..lots of family (your bro?) and friends..fun looking bunch! Peggy
CommentsI wanna know who sat behind you in 9th grade. And I wanna see Ireland.
CommentsRetired. Happily married[54 years]. Love to travel. We were on the Majestic Passage wih you and your mother.Loved your pix. Long time private pilot. Took a B-17 ride this summer. LOts of golf and tennis. Summers in northrn CA, winters in the desert. New to the computer gamebut slowly learning.
CommentsHmmm...well, enough about YOU already! Sheesh...it's all about me. (I'm training myself to say that now...oh wait, I've been saying that for YEARS.) Very interesting site so far...and maybe even a bit amusing. Ok, so I laffed a good bit so far. Not that I have a sense of humor. What else do you want to know about me anyway? Geez, you always want to know more! Am I THAT interesting??? Oh, and by the way...you should change your button that says "None of your DAMN business" to DARN...tsk tsk...what a bad boy you are. Um, I think I'm finished rambling now. I'm off to see the wizard! Or at least peruse the rest of your dark corner of loneliness (or something like that).
CommentsHi David, Interesting site. See you at Thanksgiving. Stan
CommentsHello, I'm so glad I stopped by! This site you've made and your writings are delightful! I especially like the way you write a person's thoughts out so ~vividly~, one can get caught up and lost in them, dizzying! Thanks! Bye!
CommentsWell, here I am....and YOU ARE MY BIGGEST FAN! Oh wait...how does that go again?! Oh yes (silly me), I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!! I am drawn back to your site time and time again, only to gaze upon the wondrous pages in awe and maybe even a bit of jealousy. Hmmm....I think I'm approaching a state in which I worship you as much as your buddy Sheena (isn't that her name?!) worships you and wants to lavish all kinds of attention upon your most beautiful body. <ahem> I'm DONE with that. Anyway, I'm here to check out those links you were telling me about and I just thought it would be an opportune time to let my voice be heard here once again! ;o) Bless your heart! --Moi
CommentsJust a wonderin' if this thing still works!
CommentsThis is just to announce the opening of the latest subsite in my ever-increasing presence on the Web. David, I think you'll find this interesting -- it's called "Christopher Robin's Green Door", and it will bring back memories of a certain night during our high school years. (Come to think of it, I ought to mention some of that story on the Index Page...)
CommentsHey, Dave, you *still* need to update your link to my site! The new address is above (the old one has been obsolete longer than the Model T) -- and the proper name is "Johanan Rakkav's Home Page". ("Johanan Rakkav's Homeworlds" still exists, but it's a subsite of the Home Page: http://rakkav.tripod.com/homeworlds/index.htm
Commentshey mr. knightowl i like the way you sing because you are the first m mexican rapper that i hear and also you are the best one every where. gerardo arellano AKA EL SAPO
CommentsI am afraid there has been some confusion. Evidently, I have been confused with the great Latino gangsta rapper, Mr. Knight Owl (<--you will note the slight difference in spelling and the "Mr.") As much as I would like to claim I have produced such remarkable albums as "Chicano Brown and Proud" and "Bald Headed Kingpin," I simply cannot. Neither can I claim to have written such tunes as "I Rock the Gansta Shit," or "Bitches Aint Shit," or even the timeless "Ah Bird Just Fucken Flew In." I am sorry for the confusion.
CommentsYo, wassup? I was jus' bustin' out some new moves and thought I would visit yo' site again, jus' fo' inspiration. (Especially seeing how it's so FULL of that mexicano gangsta rap style that you possess in abundance...but I digress...) So, Homey G Dawg, gracias por todo....I mean, YO, dis site be so PHAT. <ahem> By the way, su cabeza esta atrapada en el ascensor. Go figure that one out! --Chiquita Banana Homey Gangsta yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah Sr. Jr. Esquire the III.
CommentsSo what if I do tend toward loquacity, but still want to post comments here?! Whatcha gonna do about it, huh huh huh? And I think....yes, I do believe...that I am going to have to mention the most dreaded words in our combined vocabulary here on your very own website....get ready for it, cuz here it comes! Don't squeeze the Charmin, and if you do, make sure it's in the BUNKY PO-PO area! :oP <dutifully submitting myself now> OBEY ME
CommentsI am a photo enthusiast torn between cameras, science, computers and saltwater taffy, blessed with a loyal friend and neighbor who is always welcome to share same.

CommentsYou want to know about me? (well.. I imagine you don't, but hey, you asked for it.) Music, words, cats, children, humanity. Those are my loves. Sometimes they are at odds with each other (especially that humanity part) at other time, everything fits together perfectly. (alright, never perfectly... let me dream a little will ya?) I am versatile, aimless, a formerly stereotypical genXer (before some of them got rich, and subsequently lost it all). Now, I have a life, family, a world that occupies most of my waking thoughts. But only most. There are times when I dream, I let my imagination fly, and I find places like your website. Thank you H.
CommentsFor someone who claims to say little about himself, you certainly talk a lot about yourself!...I never cease to be amazed at how this medium allows us to do these self-portraits, and how different our self-portraits are in some ways and how alike they are in others. (Ooo, that was =really= profound...)
Commentswell im a pretty coo vato to kick it wit i party and chill4 fun and thatz basically it
CommentsJust a testin...
CommentsOk the last post just bothers me but anyways i liked the song death sings. where is it an excerpt from? i would like to read some more of it

CommentsWell done, you helped me to procrastinate for almost thirty minutes. Now, where was I? Ah yes, stripping paint off the decking. Sigh. P.S. You know how I found your website? I typed "I'm a frustrated writer" into Google.
CommentsHELLO, GLAD YOUR HERE WELL WORTH EVERY BIT OF THE 3.95 HUH? SWEETY!!!!
CommentsFrom DRA trainer to mega big time Gangsta Rapper...who knew? Why don't you up date this contrption a little more for those of us who are far away? Also, I think your guest book has been coopted by the German Porn Mob. That's what you get for going into Gangsta Rap...
CommentsI was actually looking for a John barth sight, however your website was wonderful. Also to mention gotta keep frustration down :-) Great Pics too! |
